Data Processing Agreement (DPA)

Last updated: June 2026

This page summarizes RenewShield’s standard Data Processing Agreement for business and team customers. It is an overview — not the signed contract itself.

1. When a DPA applies

A DPA is available when your organization uses RenewShield Business, Team, or Enterprise features with shared workspaces and RenewShield processes personal data about your users or workspace members on your behalf. Individual Free or Pro accounts for personal use typically do not require a separate DPA.

2. Roles under GDPR

Your organization is generally the data controller for personal data you and your members enter into a workspace (for example member emails, subscription notes, and assignment fields). RenewShield acts as a data processor when we store and process that data solely to provide the service according to your account settings and these Terms.

3. Subject matter and data categories

The DPA covers processing necessary to operate shared workspaces: account and profile identifiers, workspace membership and roles, subscription and reminder data, optional audit metadata on Team+ plans, billing references, and support correspondence related to the workspace.

4. Security and subprocessors

Our DPA reflects the security measures and authorized subprocessors described on these pages:

5. How to request a DPA

Email privacy@renewshield.app with your company name, plan, and the person authorized to sign. We will send our standard DPA for review and execution. For urgent enterprise onboarding, include your timeline in the message.
